Peter Mach first developed the Mach One Shoulder Rest for violin in 1997. The original patented design was and still is hand-carved from curly maple wood, beautifully matching the maple back of most violins and violas. Each rest is elegant, slim, light; and is unique in it's grain.

Many consider Peter's design to be the first leap forward since the introduction of the traditional bar-type shoulder rest. Hs main goal was to design a shoulder rest so comfortable that you don‘t notice it while you are performing. His eye for design from his pattern-maker and luthier background helped him create a fully functional shoulder rest that matches the beauty of the violin; 
the graceful curves complementing the visual appeal of the instrument itself.

The sculpted „S“ shape of the ergonomic design fits comfortably on one's shoulder and there is a suede leather pad for extra comfort. The rubber feet are adjustable to fit the width and height of your instruments. They are molded from a single piece rubber and have a lifetime guarantee.
